I’ve tried I’ve run I’ve prayed I’ve cried

but man, ain’t built like that

been here been there and done my best everywhere

we live our lives so close to home

yet so far away at times

sometimes we are who we really are

yet at times all we do is lie

there are so many things that I’ve tried to be

but only one thing I truly am
